Gracing the cover of the May issue of Barbados Visual Arts magazine is our very own Rosemary Parkinson, artist, writer and photographer.
A few years ago she started doodling. Since then she has created the most detailed pieces, many of which are on show at the exhibition at Greenwhich House and are featured this month.
Also featured are Tanya Foster’s ‘Climate Change’ contemporary art exhibition held recently at Frame & Art Gallery and a portion of the proceeds from the purchase of ‘Infinite Possibilities’ will help the Plastic Oceans Trust educate and encourage people to reduce the amount of plastic in their daily lives.
This publication also features just a few of the many pieces of art, sculpture, collage, photography and more at the pop up exhibition ‘Revoclectic’ at Massy Warrens, extended until Friday May 5th. Curated by Oneka Small. Studio Art BFA Graduate Exhibition ‘nittygritty’ features the ten final year students which opens at Morningside Gallery, B.C.C. on May 4th at 6pm.
The magazine is full of many artists and photographers, showing off the immense talent on this 14 by 21 mile island. Many pages with direct links to artists, photographers and galleries.
